
The company informed the stock exchanges in a filing that the Energy Department of the Government of Andhra Pradesh has awarded a government order (GO) to the company for the allocation of a landmark solar power project at various locations across the state.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has allocated a solar power project contract of 2,000 MW AC / 2,600 MWp DC Solar Power capacity to Bondada Engineering across multiple locations of the Ananthapuramu and Sri Sathya Sai districts, the company said.
In the Sri Sathya Sai district, the locations chosen for the project are in the villages of Roddam and Kothacheruvu Mandals, while villages in Gooty, Peddavadugur, Vidapanakallu, Peddapappur and Narpala Mandals have been selected from the Ananthapuramu district.
The proposals for the said landmark solar project were considered in the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting held on May 15, 2025, during which the SIPB approved the allocation of the proposed solar power capacity.
The company has stated that the allocation of the project is subject to ensuring that there will be no overlap with areas that have already been allotted to other developers for renewable energy projects or with the wind resource assessment studies.
The said project needs to be implemented within a period of 24 months, following the guidelines mentioned in the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Clean Energy Policy – 2024.
The said order value will increase Bondada Engineering’s order book to approximately ₹14,000 crore. Further, the infrastructure company is expected to add a revenue of ₹1,160 crore from IPP, starting the financial year 2029, the company said in a release.
