PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana 20th Instalment Update: Good news could be on the way for crores of Indian farmers as the 20th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) is likely to be released this month. Although an official date is yet to be confirmed, expectations are high that the next round of 2,000 will soon be credited directly into the bank accounts of eligible farmers.
Launched in February 2019, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi is a central government scheme that provides financial support to small and marginal farmers. Under this initiative, eligible farmers receive Rs 6,000 per year, split into three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each, through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
This initiative is designed to help farmers meet their agricultural needs, such as buying seeds, fertilisers, and other inputs, while also easing household expenses.

On February 24, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 19th instalment, transferring around Rs 22,000 crore to 9.8 crore farmers across the country.
However there has not been any official announcement yet, the 20th instalment is expected to be disbursed in June 2025. Beneficiaries are advised to keep an eye on updates from the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and ensure their documents are in order.
An individual farmer has to ensure the following to avoid any delay or trouble:
- Have an e-KYC done for him/her
- Have Aadhaar linked with the respective bank account
- Names should match in both Aadhaar and bank record

- Visit the official website: pmkisan.gov.in
- Select "Beneficiary Status" under the "Farmers Corner" Tab
- Enter Aadhaar Number or Bank/Account Number
- See your Payment History & Eligibility Status
